About

About

Elaine Thomas

I believe that the support of others helps us to face challenges in our lives. As a qualified counsellor and a registered member of the BACP I will provide a safe and non-judgemental space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. We can work together to help you find and develop the resources you have, or need, to negotiate and manage life’s difficulties.

I hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling which means I am trained in a number of different therapeutic techniques which includes solution focused therapy, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). I work in a relational, client centered way and can draw on different techniques to suit you and your individual needs, for example this could be a short-term solution focused or a longer term person-centred approach.

My services are offered locally in St Neots, which is easily reached from
Huntingdon, Peterborough, Bedford and Cambridge.

Getting Started

When you make contact with me I will offer you a no obligation, initial consultation where you will have the opportunity to explain some basic information about yourself and your reasons for seeking counselling. You will then have the option of deciding whether you would like to continue working with me.

If you decide to proceed with counselling we will then agree on a time and day for our first session.  This can be remotely via online video call or a telephone call or face to face in my counselling room in St Neots, Cambridgeshire.

Sessions will usually last 60 minutes.

I am within easy reach of Huntingdon, Bedford, Peterborough, Cambridge and many villages in between. However, my location does not limit my services as I can also cover the whole of the UK via video or telephone call.
